Shahnawaz Zali
Zali is a Pakistani filmmaker who was nominated for a Student Academy Award in 2016 - in the narrative category - for his short film on religious inspired extremism, 100 Steps - Sou Qadam. He's gone on to win several other accolades at international events including the Miami Independent Film Festival and the Accolade Global Film Festival. He is a communications graduate from Northwestern Qatar Class of 2016 and currently works as a Manager of Digital Content at The Media Majlis - Northwestern Qatar
Nissryne Dib
Nissryne Dib is a narrative/experimental director and cinematographer with a Lebanese-Canadian perspective. After completing her bachelor’s degree at Northwestern University in Qatar, she worked at several industries, such as J. Walter Thompson, Trinity Talent Qatar, The Film House, and UCLA. She has worked on independent films and commercials with a variety of clients including Qatar Airways, Ministry of Economy and Commerce, Shafallah, and Qatar Foundation. Currently, she has completed her MFA at UCLA in Film Production and is working as a freelance cinematographer. She writes and directs films about Arab women in her free time.
